The Unique & Proven Benefits
What makes the DecTec® products so unique and beneficial? First, is the impervious water barrier incorporated into all products. Either a water-based or solvent-based adhesive strongly welds DecTec’s membrane directly onto the deck substrate. The membrane roll stock is heat welded together to establish a fully waterproof seam, after its initial adhesion to the substrate, and these processes combined deem the finished product stronger than the membrane itself. Next, DecTec products are fire resistant. DecTec Guardian is the only deck membrane in the industry to achieve a class C fire rating when directly adhered to 5/8” T&G plywood. They are able to achieve this through their unique fiberglass reinforcement along with exclusive spread coat process. In a telling trial video, the DecTec brand membrane literally self-
extinguishes once the source of the flame is removed. This is due to the polymers natural ability whereas lesser quality deck membrane utilize inexpensive fillers as a means to control cost, and therefore, their products continue to burn. For those burning hot summer months, DecTec has incorporated a cool feel to their foot traffic products which makes it cool to the touch and shoes optional. Lastly, DecTec offers peace of mind with their 10 and 25 year limited Membrane warranty.
