Thriving through Tribulation
When working on a commercial roof in Seattle, a rather tough challenge was posed to our team. A massive antique billboard that stood in the way of installing a roofing system on a substantial portion of the roof, was in question. While this technically should have been taken care of by the property manager, our team didn’t let it stand in their way and used teamwork and persistence in order to push through tribulation. The job was no easy feat in itself. The team dug out layers of torch-down as well as additional layers it had been applied on top of, in order to reach the roof deck. They then laid out dens deck as a substrate for the new system before applying a fully adhered raised TPO roofing membrane. Keep in mind that all of this was done while accommodating the hefty rustic sign, that needed to both be out of their way and remain fully intact on the roof. Our crew designated a few workers simply to lift up the sign when needed and ensure that it didn’t get in the way of quality work, and also wasn’t destroyed in the process. As can be seen in the pictures, they even put in extra work in order to better solidify the base of the billboard, and keep its’ presence in order to better the aesthetics of the gorgeous roof they installed.
